My second project. Scrap pine entry bench. English Chestnut Minwax stain. Wife likes the dark color. I prefer a little lighter color. Three coats of hand rubbed satin poly. Held together with biscuits and dowels…....next time, mortis and tenon joinery.

I like this one… is there storage under the seat? The picture with the boots is just for show, right? they’re not normally allowed there, especially in the winter months ;)

That’s a good looking bench.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Scott we will be using both the box and bottom rack for storage…....unfortunately, we only have 2 seasons here around Houston, Texas. HOT, and HELL. We still walk around with flip flops on in the middle of winter. Those are my work boots. LOL.

Great looking bench – I like it. Finish came out really well, I’m with you I prefer the lighter colors, but your project looks outstanding.
