This is a nice piece of hawthorn with turquoise inlay that I turned into another box for my wife. The finial was very thin and about 2” long but it broke so I had to improvise. (as I like to look at “a design opportunity”)

Improvisation is good! Very nice little box. That hawthorn has a beautiful figure. What size is it?

Huge piece of hawthorn (or so it seems). Over here they seldom grow to tree sise

The box is 3” tall by 2” wide. It is a small box. My wife likes to put her ear rings in them.
