Finally got off my lazy behind and got this finished and installed in my remodeled log cabin. I am absolutely thrilled with having a desk after 30 yrs of being without one. Walnut, spalted birch from my firewood pile, and curly walnut. I am pleased with it, but am considering some additions for it that would make a shelf system around it, yet it would look like it was an outgrowth of the desk…hmmm…. Of course we woodworkers seem to have a need to improve everything we make. Hi to all my LJ friends.

I like it Michelle. Certainly spartan but that way it can’t get too cluttered. :-)

Looks great, and so does the art on the wall. I’m assuming that those are also your work?

Awesome desk. I like the stained glass artwork on the walls as well.
