I made ten sets of chess men and boards ranging from 3 1/2” down to 1” in height.
every one was cut by hand individually on a scrollsaw using pinless blades. Then handsanded, handsealed and handpainted with varnish. All the white men are Queensland silver ash, caribea pine. The dark men could be,cedar, oak, hairy oak. The coin is an Australian ten cent coin.

Very nice! how big is the set? I assume an Australian 10 cent coin is not very big…

Very impressive pieces. Your scrollwork is exceptional. I like posts like these. They stimulate us to expand our knowledge and experience with building new projects. Great chess set.
