A Curly Maple Dulcimer

Here’s a dulcimer I built for my niece. I started by resawing an old slab of maple that I had which had quite a bit of curl. The wood was beautiful without any stain. The top is spruce planed to 1/16”.

I didn’t keep track, but it was around 40 hours. It’s the details—soundholes and inlay—that really eat up the hours.
