Just posting a couple of photos of my earlier work I did for my wife a couple of years ago.

Yup, looking at it now it’s pretty crude, but my wife liked it then and still does. I guess that’s what matters most! :-)

I still plan on mounting the window frame one in a frame and backing it with black fabric – any day now…...

Nice work.
And I agree with your observation regarding what matters most.
When I do a piece I am concerned with pleasing 2 people -
myself – and the customer/recipient.
If other people like it—that’s a plus.
If other people want to criticize it—well that’s their privilege.
If I find the criticism constructive/educational – thats a plus.
If not—I blow it off like sawdust.

Well said MyFathersSon, Well said.

I do look at these as kind of a yardstick – seeing how quickly I have improved – and how much I need to learn yet by seeing others’ work on this site.

Geez…..... I’m sounding like a Hemingway character or something! ;-)

Pretty neat.
Not much of a cat fan, but this is nice.
....... if it was a bear…....
My wife would already have it hung up somewhere.

Nice work.
