Barn beam stair cable railing

Custom stair railing from barn beams. Beams are 4×6 and are all elm. The railings are elm, maple, and white oak. Custom cable railing as well.
Railings are screwed into the beams using pocket holes and 3” long construction screws.

I like the beams and rails, but not the cables.

I love the wood but the cables are not my cup of tea. However, different strokes for different folks. Nevertheless, you did some beautiful work on this staircase.

i agree with charles love the railings but the cables just dont go very well,just my opinion.thanks for the flip tony,i hate looking at something upside down,sideways is bad enough.
