I live in an older home with small kitchen, never enough counter space. next to the sink was a dish washer that broke several years ago. so I made this island to fit in the dish washer spot. 24” wide, 24” deep and 32” high. the corners are 3”x 3” oak. drawer fronts are red oak with black walnut handles. top is black walnut and a 12” x 12” granite counter top scrap. the island is mounted on 3” casters so it can be moved to be used as extra counter top or a serving area.
