I had though that I had read that H.O. Studley had cut half blind dovetails with pins 1/8”. Since I had some loose X-acto tools that need a home I could cut some small dovetails. The third pic has an 8th inch chisel. The pins at the base are approximately 3/16” wide and the apex of the pins are a hair thinner than an 8th”. I’m sure Studley is looking down on my project and laughing his ass off at my results. To that I have to say “Have a good laugh my friend!”

He’d probably tell you it needs some ebony, ivory or mother-of-pearl. He might even say there’s still plenty of room for more tools. The hand cut dovetails are still better than the machine cut box joints.
