My daughter, Tsuyuno 3 years old, has started her first year of kindergarten this month (yes, the school starts in April in Japan). She has a bag, and it’s just the same as other kits there, so needed something for her to identify her own bag.
3 years ago, I made a Ukulele Keychain for her brother, so this time it’s a Castanet! And this one is better because you can actually play it!!!
It’s made of unknown wood, but I guess it’s some kind of oak.
Really a small project, so didn’t need much wood, yes of course, it’s made out of scrap! (and even no glue!)
Much smaller than a usual castanet, but the sound is pretty good.

I’ll bet she’s very popular with her classmates, & very proud of her Dad.

Isn’t it amazing that I can see and hear a child in Japan play a castanet over the internet? Beautiful child and a clever project.

Well done Junji. I’m glad to see that your family figures into almost all of your projects. Lovely Daughter and lovely castanet too.

Everybody, thank you!
So far, she is having so much fun there, and she is playing the castanet every time she sees it.
