It’s always nice to have a furniture around the house that is multi functional. I designed this stool to be so. Most clients who commissioned me for tables and chairs at one time had the problem of needing one or two extra chairs for unexpected guests. The problem with an extra chair is that it will be to tight for the length of the table. These stools are easy to stick between chairs for another person to sit on. Though simple in design, it blends well with the rest of the chairs. Meanwhile it can also stand as a side table or pedestal in any nook or corner of the house when not used as a stool. The seat is 14” diameter and is made from ipil. It’s height is 18” The pierced, steam bent, stack laminated legs are very strong and stable and are glued from ipil and molave planks. The soles and stretchers are molave. Very simple but durable and functional!

totally love the design, is that an original? Like the way it looks as it gets closer to the bottom.and the horizontal stretchers for feet, genius. You say this is strong enough to sit on. Thats wicked cool because my first though was a end table. It looks like a great stool for a guitarist. Gift giving is a good thing, selling is even better.

HOw much time do you have invested?

I need 4 of these. Email me and I will give you my address. Those are great. I still can’t see the simplicity of the build.
