Queen size maple bed with 4 drawers that I made for my niece. Finished with Festool Surfix oil. The unit breaks down into 12 pieces for easy transport.

Nice. I’ve got to build one of these in the not too distant future.

This is a very nice storage bed. It’s a very practical piece.

I’m trying to build a similar bed right now but can’t figure out how to make it in sections for moving. I’d love to get more information or pictures on the construction of this one.

Brain,

The base is divided into 2 sections. The first section houses the 2 drawers on the sides and the 2nd section houses the drawers at the foot of the bed. I use dowel pegs to align the sections and then screw them together. Same with the 3 face pieces and headboard, pegs for alignment and screwed from the inside of the box sections.

Hope that helps, feel free to send me your email if your like more picture.
