This box is named after a satyrical news review program on TV in the UK, on BBC4. Like The Daily Show but more down and dirty. The top is it’s logo (second picture gives correct orientation). Simple but with an irregular distrubution of squares a little trickier to produce than my more regular patterns. Materials are Padauk and Ebony and siize approx. 160×70 x 50mm with a drop-on lid. Will probably be in my upcoming mini-exhibition.

Neat box – unfortunately I don’t know newsWIPE… I guess I am getting behind the times (I got rid of television several years ago). I’ll put that in my “check it out on youtube in the future” list as there is almost nothing better than sarcasm done by the brits.

I should not say neat box. It’s slick and perfect looking. The wood combination is lovely.

Nice box, I chacked out the newsWIPE logo online and it looks just like it… well done.

Very well done. Never hearing of newswipe before, I googled it. The logo is spot on. I love the use of Padauk. I have that wood in my garage, but have never used it yet.

Its a lovely wood but beware. Its dust gets into everything, staining it red. Maple ends up with a pink tinge if its next to it in a project (just wipe off with spirit). and everything in your shop will need the red dust leaning off it. Its worth it though.
