This is another of my big block butcher blocks, made from 3×3 turning stock. This was made as a wedding present in the summer of 2016 for my cousin and his wife. This was my first attempt at burning personalization into the side of a cutting board. The woods are cherry, white oak, walnut and hickory. The brass handles were purchased at home depot. The leveling was done with my belt sander and the final surfacing was done with card scrapers (wet scraping). The block is 2.25” tall, 12” wide and 19” long. The corners were rounded over with a 3/8” roundover bit.
