Batter up! This is a desk that was built along with the Special Edition Baseball Locker murphy bed. It is shaped like the home plate and uses bats for the legs. I built this one in February 2010. This is the first time I’ve built this one using ash wood.

The home plate top is MDF painted with a white undercoater and antiqued using a glaze made from golden oak stain. The corners are sanded through to give it more of a used look.

The bats are real Louisville Slugger bat. I trim up the end to get a flat surface and instert a lag bolt. The legs unscrew for shipping.
