Bowl - Unknown wood

I am interested in your opinion as to what this wood might be.. It was suggested “aromatic cedar” but there really was no smell to the wood, certainly not a cedar smell. It was growing in the Tampa Bay area of Florida and had extensive ant damage in the center. You can see some on the lip. The bark/cambium reminds me of hemlock but I don’t think hemlock is this red.

Great looking bowl, Berg. It looks like Cherry to me. I work with a lot of Cherry and your bowl sure looks like it.

i have to agree with odie, it does look like cherry. It’s also a great looken bowl.
