would you mind telling me how you put the truss rod in? is it free floating under the fretboard? or is it attached somehow. I have all of a neck built for an electric and mine is sandwiched between the neck and fretboard with nothing holding it in other than the wood around it.

yeah, the rod is kind of a friction fit, the slot in the neck blank is like maybe 1/64 wider than the actual rod, i think some guys will put a couple dabs of silicone in there just to secure it, the last thing you want is the rod floppin around in there when you start strummin, so it gotta be pretty snug…..
