I got sick of the huge pile of cell phone, ipod, and camera cords that were piling up on our kitchen so I came up with this corner unit. Originally I had purchased some spring loaded hinges. (The kind for a flip out drawer that holds sponges under the skink. After installing them, they snapped back way too hard and was way too hard too open. So I took them out and quickly and to come up with a drawer that didn’t have drawer slides but wouldn’t fall out of the carcass under the weight of the electronics. I came up with a 5/16 dowel keeps the center of the drawer aligned. You can kind of see it in the 3rd picture with the top removed.

In the end, it fits well in the kitchen corner and is relatively convenient to use. Made from black walnut and maple

Great idea and nice implementation. It doesn’t use up much counter space but gives you a nice way to organize your electronics in one place. Looks as if it could easily be wall mounted in a corner, too.

What a nice design to contain all that clutter! And maple & walnut is one of my favorite combos!
