This was missions from my wife, to make something for new born babies. I didn’t want to make small toys that they bite or lick with wood, so I decided to make really small stool/chair like I made some for my kids before (the last pic).
The pine chair can be used in 3 ways, 3 different hight, the left 2 have black walnut top.

最近、知り合いの方に赤ちゃんが生まれる、もうすぐ生まれるなどという嬉しいニュースが連続してありまして、お祝いの「添え物」として何か木工で出来ないかということになりまして。。。本当に生まれたての赤ちゃんが握ったり、振ったりして遊ぶようないわゆる「がらがら」も考えたのですが、いかんせん木にはいろんな雑菌やらアクやらがあるでしょうし、他人の大事なお子様にそのようなものをお祝いとして差し上げるのはいかがなものかと思いまして。。。
で、以前に子供用の小さいイス／スツールを２脚ほど作っていたのですが、そんなものにしてみてはということで、作ってみました、同じものを作るのは能がない！というか面白くないので、テーマを考えまして。。。
それは「３」、つまりスリーでございます。
まず最初に出来上がったのが、こちら。
ひっくり返すことによって、３通りの高さですわれるイスでございます。
何といっても相手は赤ちゃんですから、このイスも写真で見るよりは結構小さいのですが、我が家の子供たちに座ってもらってみたところ、座面の奥行きがちょっと短すぎるということで。。。
で、あきらめずにまったく別のパターン。
３つの角を持つブーメラン型。
座面はウォルナット、脚はケヤキ。これがまた小さくて。。。
そして、さらにオニギリ。もちろん、三角オニギリ。
ということで、今我が家には子供用の小さいイスが散乱しています。いや、僕が産卵してるのか？
