Thanks everyone. I used birch plywood although I’m not sure what the core was, maybe pine? I got the pattern from the way I glued up the blank.

Fantastic. Love the use of plywood. More and more people are making projects (not just jigs and such) from plywood. It gives the projects a lot more variety. Very impressive imagination. Love it.
