This was one of my first true furniture projects from a few years ago. These are two nightstands/end tables made from white oak and birch ply. Slightly modified from plans I found on the web which I can’t seem to find anymore or I’d give the proper credit. They are extremely heavy since the frames came from 2” oak and the tops, backs, and sides are all 3/4” ply. I really like the open shelf under the top and the two drawers are nice. If I did it again I would make the top from solid wood rather than trimmed plywood. Finished with shellac with an added topcoat of poly on the top. All in all a successful project that matched the rest of our bedroom set we had purchased on craigslist.

I reall ylike the design – not too fancy, but aesthetically pleasing, and the practical – 2 drawers and 2 “shelves. Very cool.

And nice craftsmanship to boot!
