Hi Lumberjocks!

I wanted to share a recent project I tackled. I had a free Sunday afternoon and was looking to either get rid of my skateboard decks or find a use for them. I figured out that I could repurpose two of them into a little stool using only the hardware provided and a few extra nuts and bolts. So I got to work and against the odds I think it came out pretty awesome!

If you want to check out all of my DIY tutorials/projects, you can click here

I recommend watching the video of the build, which you can find on this link:

My written article has many more pictures to take a look at and can be found here.

Thanks for checking out the project!

very cool way to recycle old skate boards zach, was this your own design?you do a great job on the tutorials and vids, keep em coming.and i like that your posting just one project a day i think you get better feedback that way rather than dumping everything you have at once.

Cool! I once saw a Honda Helix scooter stripped of it’s body work and the guy ripped a skateboard in half lengthwise and use the two halves for the floorboards. Must be tons of interesting things you can do with them.

I could see those being sold at a gift shop or on Etsy.

Thanks @Pottz – yea I think that was my goal – since I am so new to this website I wanted to just slowly share out my projects, otherwise they’d get lost in the mix of all the other great stuff posted!

Thanks @dhazelton! The version that I put together was just a mix of other designs I had seen – no real plans for them or anything – was more just working with the scraps I had. It was cool to google “repurposing skateboards” and see all of the fun stuff that came up!
