This is a box design that I have been thinking about for a while and finally made it with a few changes along the way as usual .
The box is made from spruce pieces (stone) glued to a ply backing and western red cedar for the top and beams the tray and bottom are lined with light upholstery fabric .
Finished with poly .

Klaus

Klaus that’s a very playful idea and well executed. It has a Game of Thrones feel to it :) Nice work!

Nice workmanship on this one Klaus. The irregular stone design is eye catching. There is a big condo building near me that has this type of exterior and I always stare at it as I go by.

Looks solid and as a brick sh*thouse. :-)
Innovative, playful, fun and solid… oh yes … pretty too.
All that means I live it on a bunch of levels.
Nice one!

As usual, Klaus, very unique. If I had done that in shop growing up I would have gotten a F, because I had not lined up the bricks properly. But you get an A from me.

Very interesting look to this one Klaus. It makes me wonder if your next version will have spring mounted bricks, to be pressed in the correct combination to release the lid? ;)
