My wife wanted an end table to keep next to the computer to hold receipts and other financial paperwork. This is constructed out of 3/4” baltic birch plywood with edge banding. The drawer is 1/2” baltic birch with a routed path for the hardwood runner mounted inside the cabinet. Everything is assembled with pocket joinery (I actually bought my first Kreg Jig for this project). The legs are just tapered pieces of plywood joined together. Inside the drawer, I used 1/4” plywood to make removable drawer dividers (4 compartments). Everything inside has a healthy coating of paste wax, and glides well. The top has exposed plywood edges, because I used my router table to put a 45 degree bevel on it, but my wife thinks it took the stain well, and looks distinctive. Not pictured is the drawer pull I later added.
