I got my new Woodworking magazine and had a nice little project on the cheap. The plan called for all oak but I had a nice 2×4 drying out in the garage for a while I milled down to size. The weave I had to use oak tho. I had some oak scrap in the garage to use for that. Made the dowels on the router. I haven’t put a finish on it yet but the plans used boiled linseed oil. I’ve never used it but I think that’s what I’m gonna use too. Hopefully it’ll be good finish to withstand hot casserole dishs and stuff
Thanks for looking.

That’s pretty. How do you attach the weave to the Side rails?

Barbara it sits in grooves just like you would cut for a drawer bottom
