This plan is from the December ‘09 Woodworkers Journal , this is the first for me with the exposed joints, all the dadoes were done on the radial arm saw which I am still trying to learn to set up properly. the joints were a little looser than I would like but it is completed. It is made of 3/4 plywood and finished with BLO and poly coat.

Looks good.

I found it much better to use a router or table saw for dado’s. My radial arm saw has to much sag and sway in the arm to get good dado’s. I wasted a day and $60 on plywood trying to get the dado on teh radial to work.

Like it, I remember reading this and thought it was cool. You make yours extra thick? Looks good.

chris I think I will try a router next time it was easy on the radial but I spent a lot of time afterward making it look right . ken I used the same size plywood but I think theirs was a better quality in the article. I bought mine on sale at HD
