I’ve been wanting to do my own take on these little mid century inspired side tables. These are pretty basic just using pine, I wanted to knock out an easy project that my daughter could help paint. But I want to experiment more with the basic design. I’m thinking about making a mixed species butcher block panel so it will be continuous grain throughout with mitered corners. I’m also going to make a few with drawers. I have been wanting to do some carved and coved drawer fronts kind of like Jory Brigham. The MCM design has been pretty popular lately so I’m looking forward to putting my own spin on it and seeing how it does.

Where did you get the tapered legs? Also what angle did you splay them at? I getting ready to make a reception desk in this style. It will have mitered corners and be made out of Maple plywood. Need to figure out the legs,

These are just waddell legs from home depot with the waddell 5 degree angle bracket. I didn’t want to spend much since it was just fooling around with the standard design on these. There are quite a few places that do really good danish or modern type legs. I’ll post the link to a shop I used for some other legs too. I’m doing a modern queen sized platform bed currently and their product looks really good.
