This is another piece I turned from the olive branch. It is 3” diameter and 4 1/2” high and finished with Danish oil and clear lacquer. The grain is incredible in olive wood. I first thought it was spalted wood but the branch was still alive with leaves on it!! I have more left yet!!

cheers, Jim

Really beautiful piece Jim. I heartily agree with your comment “the grain is incredible in olive wood”, and you certainly prove it with this box.

A excellent piece Jim, you have really brought the grain out. Starting to think you took the elves down to AZ with you mate.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Lidded bowls always seem so challenging, but yours always turn out great. Nice work, Jim!
