I made the horse from piles of “U.S. Patent Award” walnut plaques that I got from work. Lots of gluing, but it was worth the time and effort. The tail is a replacement mop head. The mane is strands from a mop, embedded into walnut plugs. Almost like real hair plugs! No ears, as they were the first thing to get broken off my last one!
Rockers, saddle and foot rest are red oak.
