Birthday’s present for a little girl. Classic toy, the grasshopper is a Jim Makowicki’s design, from your book “Making Heirloom Toys”. The antennaes is not stranded wire with insulation as the original plan, are dowels. I hope like it and do it your own. Greetings.

Saludos.

Our shop woodworkers group made twenty of these for the disadvantaged kids in our area.
very difficult to make the wheels turn as desired. i made one where the wheels /legs turned in a counter motion so as to appear to be walking and not hopping. again very nice.
