Once again my wife wanted something that wouldn’t interrupt traffic flow to go here at the end of the cabinet (she can’t stand empty spots:>}). So I once again got out my yellow legal pad and sketched this up and went to the shop and knocked it out. Very easy project. The backboard is beaded ceiling paneling 1/4” thick. The rest is 1 X Pine. The finish is painted with flat blue paint and then sanded off and umber/thinner washed. One word of caution, test the paint you are going to umber over o scrap because it take a much brighter blue paint to end up like this. Final coat is semi-gloss polyurethane. We like this look, because it makes it look older than it is.
