Walnut Half Blind Dovetail box

A bit thicker than I would like, but joints turned out well. Solid wood dado-ed in bottom. Student was happy with the outcome.

Basics are good pretty, tight joints but final finish needs some work, saw marks and un-chamfered edges distract from final product.

It appears to be a high school/JR high school? project. I think its fabulous especially when you consider the skills of the young woodworker who has not been practicing the craft for very long. Instead of being critical, we should encourage and embrace so the young ones entering our profession/hobby stay with it instead of thinking their work not good enough.

just my two cents

The student should be proud, those are some nice, tight joints!
