Project Information

I wanted a unique entertainment center that wasn't just a stack of shelves or a cabinet. That said, I also hate wires. The trunk of this entertainment center is hollow and each arm has an entry behind it for wires to enter the trunk. Inside the trunk is a surge protector (and a million wires).

Fun project. Lots of glue!

I love the idea and design. I don't see any cable running to the tv at all. Does it exit the tree and enter the wall?

Thanks everyone.

Zach -

All the cables come out of the trunk at the bottom and are wrapped in a neoprene sleeve that goes through a hole in the floor. Everything is plugged in to an outlet in the floor joists. It worked out nicely. You don't even have to look at power cables attached to the wall. There is a conduit behind the TV that leads to an opening right behind the receiver.

Looks great. How are the arms joined to the trunk? I'd love to do something like this, but some arms would need to support a fair amount of weight.
