My wife asked me to build this bookcase for our son Thomas. He definitely needs it; he already has a stack of books 2 feet high. The wood is pine and the finish will be BLO and garnet shellac, maybe a few poly topcoats (since it’s for a little boy’s room). This was my second project since I bought my new jointer. Boy does it make life easier!

The bookcase is really nice work – looks sturdy too.
Thomas is even more beautiful. Fortunately, he has a beautiful Mommy! Of course, you get credit for choosing her and producing an adorable son!

Looks like it will be perfect for a boy’s room! (I think he likes it).
