This is my first attempt at a piece of furniture.
My wife wanted a place to store her album design and scrapbook stuff, so I decided to try building one…
On the left there are shelves for assorted designed paper sheets, on the right there are shelves to store small boxes and the doors all open to reveal larger inner shelves.
The whole thing is built from laminated pine (Oh, the budget, the budget….), stained and finished with poly.
I built this a while back, before I had any real idea of joinery… as a result the whole thing is held together by concealed screws. This project taught me alot and as long as my wife is happy with it, it’s good enough for me!

Definitely very nice storage – a great saving indeed.
I know how much you would spend for a cabinet/storage like that in your country. The first time I ran through an online catalogue, I didn’t believe my eyes. A (one unit) wooden dining chair sell @ $176 to $200 (approximately RM600 to RM700).
