Two friends of mine, Marco and Elena Trivelato, recently had a lovely baby. I wanted to make them something to mark the occasion such as a small table (my speciality) but the Dad (Papà) mentioned that they hadn’t been able to find a Baby Changer that they liked. At this point I hadn’t a clue what that was, so they described it to me, and I reluctantly agreed to make one. To lighten the tedium of making such a utilitarian item I tried to imagine how Charles Rennie Mackintosh (a fellow citizen of Glasgow and one of my heroes) would approach the subject.
This is the result. I thought that ,if there was interest, I might use it as the subject of a Blog to explain the basics of making a table, suitable for any really new LJs. What do you all think?

Maclegno, I really like it! It looks very elegant. I would very much enjoy seeing a blog.

Very nice Gerard. I like the plugs and Celtic designs.

Very nice! I’d love to be able to make one for the wife. I’ve never made a tabletop of this design so if you do end up doing a blog I’d be interested. Thanks for posting the pics.
