This rack is made of red oak. The shelf is recessed into the back panel by means of a dado to add support. It was then glued and mounted with screws from the back side. The hooks are 3/4” hardwood dowels. The holes were drilled to within 1/4 ” of the back on a drill press and then glued, and placing wood screws from the back side to secure in place. The edges were turned on a router table. Then sanded, stained natural and finished off with lacquer.
