I ran across this photo of a step stool my assistant and I had just finished back in 2007, for one of our neighbor’s daughters.
It is just white pine fastened with dowels, screws, glue and wood plugs, left natural, then coated with poly.
I added some rubber “feet” for traction. I used a scrap board in the background to practice using the router letter template guide. This stool is still in use today and is as sturdy as the day it was put together. Mom uses it also in her kitchen. We really enjoyed making this and seeing it enjoyed and used.

A very nice gift for her friend and I bet she was very happy that she got to help build it. My daughter is already quite excited about working with me on stuff and I hope that will last for a while.
