This bench was made for my mom, my step-dad gave me some “junk lumber” that was used to strap down materials on a railroad car. I glued up several boards after rough cutting them and coming up with a design I liked. The top of the bench was all glued up and put on my homemade flattening jig which has been a savior in my very small shop, it allows me to basically plane something up to 3’x5’. I used pocket holes on the angled supports and counter bored holes to attach the legs to the top. I went back and doweled the holes and pocket holes then finished it with several coats of teak oil (on clearance at wal-mart). They use it almost daily when put on or taking off their shoes :)

I like it … goes well with the headboard. Good job!
I second the BKP.
