I made this Intarsia for a neighbor. He’s had this 56 Bel-Air since he bought it new.

Intarsia is 18” long.

Magnificent! Oh how I remember our 1956 Mercury bought to replace a 1946 Ford two door sedan, in which I learned to drive and get my license in 1955. Thanks, you’re a real excellent artist, and surely cut your pieces to perfection/

GR8HUNTER, I started out, back in 1992, purchasing patterns, but soon found it more satisfying to make my own and it makes each project unique instead of seeing the same thing being made numerous times.

I work from patterns that I draw, either freehand or on the computer. However, to save time, I have also worked directly from an enlarged photo of a subject, depending on the complexity.

If your “From Memory” means, ideas for subjects comes from my past, Over the years I have made numerous Intarsias of things that have special meaning only to me from my past. But, 90% of my work comes by the way of requests from others.

Another fantastic intarsia car! You do amazing work, and I’m sure your neighbor really appreciates it, and will enjoy it every day!
