Well this is a toy box in progress…My friends drove a long way so we could build this for their children’s toys…They brought up some really nice lumber that they purchased from a local guy who incidentally has kiln to dry lumber if anyone needs it. He is in Cleveland and has some really nice deals on Lumber and also beautiful.
This comes from no plans really…My other friend made one out of pine and we kinda modeled it after his with a few mods. No fasteners have been used to create this project. All glue with rabbeted joints and cope and stick construction. I am working on polishing my skills as well.
Anyway, my buddy wanted to stain it to match his trim in his house. WE spent the day jointing, planing, routing, gluing, sanding and staining yesterday. It was a lot of fun getting with the guys and building some of their skills and just being friends hanging out.
It is about 85 Percent done…Just need to add some trim, finishing sanding a bit, sray lacquer and then add the top.
