Hand carved, router, laser machine? Norm had a repeat showing of hand-made signs that I found interesting. Please share your technique!

I used a wood lathe to round the plate and add in the two rings. The dog and the letters were hand cut using a chip carving knife. Finished with satin urethane varnish sprayed on.
