Little valentines day project for my little lady. She spotted a mail holder at Tuesday Morning so I snapped a picture of it, and made one quite a bit different.
She was always putting her keys on her dining room table, and often times her coat and purse on the dining room chairs at her place (we live over an hour apart), so I thought I’d make something that she use to help with that.
Used all recycled wood plus some scrap 1/4” cheap plywood I had lying around. That’s my Dad holding the finished project, he helped with the design of some of it as I’m definitely a function over form kind of guy.
Second project I’ve done for her so far, and she loves it. Learned a lot in this project, had to bring some geometry lessons back from school to get the placement of things even, but it came out better than I have imagined.
If I were to do it over, I’d make the vase stand out a little farther, as it’s a little close, and do a little better job picking out the wood (and use wood filler).
