This is my 2nd attempt, and still didn’t get it quite right, but it is better than the first one so that’s OK. No. 3 should be spot on.
It is 8 1/2 inches wide and 5 inches tall, sanded to 400 and finished with Shellawax Glow friction polish.
There are MANY pieces in this one.
The timbers used are;-
Jarrah,
Tasmanian Oak,
Pine,
Padauk,
Queensland Maple,
American Walnut, and
Snakewood (Acacia ???) for the base.

Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
Bob.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

HI, nice bowl, Looks good to me for just starting out, I am on my 4th one now and think? I have some of the problems ironed out, last one it slipped when gluing it together so had to cut it in half put back together, came out but not good like I wanted.

I am new to all this to posted couple things, I like the way you made the bottom base I have hard time making them small like that but like way it looks, maybe will try it on next one.

Can’t see any problems with that Bob, real nice, you got a WOW from my wife when I showed it to her. Well done and look forward to seeing the 3rd.

I think it looks great Bob! Nothing wrong that I can see! Except that I think I’ve been hypnotized now! LOL!

Yes I get dizzy looking at it. So that must mean you did it right. Nice work Bob.

I’m trying to find what’s wrong with this bowl, but can’t find. Excellent work, mind blowing pattern.
