Looks very good. I am drawing up a design for a DVD storage cabin with 24 drawers that my wife has wanted. Looks very similar to your cabinet. It will be a fun project

This would ALSO make an excellent sock yarn box. Don’t let your wife swipe it.

That is a nice cabinet. It looks like the one they had plans for in Wood Magazine one or two issues ago. I like yours better because the fronts overlap the openings hiding any gaps. Nice workmanship on it too!

My Dad still has one of those he built in the 70s, way before CDs and DVDs… It is shocking to see how similar your build looks like his…

Very nice…I am building something similar out of 3 1/2×7 1/2 inch 3/4 oak blanks I have (found 2000 of them for almost nothing on local craigslist—have no idea what the original plans were for them) and hope to make about 100 drawers total for different- sized apothecary cabinets. What type of joinery did you utilize in your drawers? I am leaning towards deep rabbets with dowel pin reinforcement for ease, strength and decorative purposes. Great job!
Have your say...
