3-4 years ago I tore down an old junk barn that was on my property when I bought it and just piled the lumber up An forgot about it. It was all weathered rough cut so I didn’t have much use for it….. Then I bought a couple old hand planes.
When I brought these boards in from outside I let them dry for about a month then cleaned them all up An planed them down. They were in pretty nasty shape (see last picture). I initially wanted this to b a small gun rack but the boards weren’t wide enough. I hav drooled over summerfi’s saw till a lot so I decided to build mine own. It’s a little (way) over kill since I only hav 3 handsaws and it’ll hold 17 but I’m hopeful of collecting more as I go.
I like the way it turned out. I just gotta find a spot for it now

Well done.

i am a fan of reuse and rethink things; instead of the just throw away and then buy new idea of living.

I like the look, I’ll hang it in my shop while you look for a spot for it.

Nice save and nothing is overkill. Nasty fetches a premium around here. Barn wood shop accoutrements for your old tools are popular themes. I like it!
