Y BOOTS - That's a good question!

I’m back in the saddle again. Just got this piece finished. Been at it for several weeks and still haven’t got an answer to my question.
Had a piece of elm in my wood pile and it had an odd y shape, i.e. bifurcation of two branches. Didn’t have the heart to cut it into separate pieces to make a boot or two so I decided to make it a family and was able to extract three blanks from the tree. The Y shape provided me with a title for the project. However someone might see another shape and VEE will understand!
Enjoy the family!

Is that WHY or just the “Y”, Roman…
I like your imagination as well as your very clever craving skills…

All snug in the security of the the nest, a nice family. Very clever, I am sure they each can go there separate ways, as it goes with all are children, sometimes even given the boot, but they always can come home and fit into their special spot.
Nice work on the boots.
PS the videos in my last post, 2nd video has video of the area at end, special memories of the view from the hill behind Seely Lake.

At first glance, Brian (forgive me here), I thought it looked kinda like a colonoscopy. Which spurred a thought: Have you ever thought of branching out into anatomical carvings?

Well it certainly looks like nice work Roman,
but what is it… looks to be some lizards living inside a hollowed out log.

Is that the family?

also BTW welcome back Mark when did you get out of the slammer?
