Recently got my first bear request. It’s all one piece solid white oak. Super happy with end results. It’s nearly 6 1/2 ft tall.

Roughed it out with chainsaw, then pretty much chisels and sanding for face.

Way past what most of us can even think about trying.

There is a fair amount of chainsaw carvers around here; but, most are not nearly that good!

Very cool! I like how you use the 2 colors to differentiate between side view and front/rear view. I can pretty much visualize the bear in the log that way.

Great job.

Thanks, “2pipes” relates to the costumers last name pipes, (two pipes) husbsnd/wife.
