Feather Your Nest Carved from London Plain by Bazza.
Love this Timber quite delicate not the hardest of wood
but has the most amazing grain.
There are a lot of these trees on London streets which is a
hybrid Sycamore cross Spanish Plain.
Great for small projects and this carving is 6 X 3 inch
and finished with Lemon Oil.
Thanks for checking out my work
Regards Barry.

As you said “amazing grain”. I wish that there was some of that wood available around here.
Very nicely done.

Search ebay for hardwood offcuts ? You may be supprised what turns up.
I am surrounded by amazing timbers but its not comercially available . I have to travel to buy interesting boards off specialised traders . I just buy odd boards upto around $50 each .
