I googled and searched for years to find a pool que rack to match our Art Deco theme. I finally found the inspiration for this in the light fixture next to where the rack is located (see photo). I built this during glue ups and drying of the game table that I posted. It had some surprising challenges for as simple as it looks. I rushed a bit and have several details that I wish I could get a do over, but I am happy with the final result.
The top is made of mahogany with steel chrome tubes from a retail clothing display and a bit of detail I CNCed in. Probably wouldn’t do that exactly the same again but, eh whatever. The bottom is 3 layers of segmented mahogany with a finial made from half of an aluminum paperweight that gave its life for the project.
The cues are finally off the floor!
Sorry, I don’t know why the first pictures are rotated here. I promise they are correct when I put them in!
